Designing MushFlex7 for Yongin-Soban

Introduction:
Yongin-Soban, a renowned South Korean Herbal Food Brand, approached me with a unique product concept - MushFlex7. This product, a combination of 7 different mushrooms turned into a nutritional powder, was to be designed from scratch. The project encompassed not only the product's physical packaging design but also content creation for social media channels, website development, and the creation of informative infographics for the website.
Challenges:
1. Uniqueness: Creating a distinctive design for MushFlex7 while ensuring it aligns with Yongin-Soban's brand identity.
2. Educating Consumers: Mushrooms' health benefits were not widely known, so educating consumers was essential.
3. Digital Presence: Developing an engaging online presence through website and social media.
Approach:
1. Research and Discovery:
We conducted in-depth market research to understand the competitive landscape and consumer preferences related to nutritional products and supplements.
Researched the health benefits of various mushrooms and their cultural significance in South Korea.
2. Product Design:
Collaborated closely with Yongin-Soban's team to incorporate traditional Korean design elements into the modern product packaging.
Designed a visually appealing label with earthy tones and subtle references to traditional Korean art.
Highlighted the number "7" in the product name to emphasize the seven different mushrooms.
3. Content Creation:
Developed a content strategy to educate consumers about the health benefits of mushrooms.
Created engaging and informative blog posts, social media posts, and videos showcasing the process of turning mushrooms into powder.
Leveraged storytelling to connect the product with South Korean heritage.
4. Website Development:
Built a user-friendly e-commerce website with a visually appealing design that mirrored the product packaging.
Included detailed product information, customer reviews, and a blog section for mushroom-related articles.
Integrated an online store for easy purchasing.
5. Infographics:
Designed infographics that explained the nutritional value of MushFlex7 and its seven mushroom ingredients.
Included usage instructions and serving suggestions.
Results:
1. Product Design: The packaging design for MushFlex7 received positive feedback from consumers and was seen as a fusion of tradition and modernity.
